Young Carers Bill in Parliament

The Carers (Identification and Support) Bill was today announced in parliament. This, if made law, would provide the necessary support for young people who care for relatives and friends with a disability, and for whom this work dominates their lives. I would like to state here my respect for Barbara Keeley, the MP who has introduced this proposal. Her work has the potential to better the lives of some of the most deserving people in our society.
