On Tuesday 16th Harry took a 8 o’clock train to Nottingham to speak at the INVOLVE Conference on Social Care Research. The conference advocates public involvement in research and at conference received reports from the various research groups which make up its membership. Over the last 18 months Harry has been an Associate Research Assistant for DeMontfort University, Centre for Social Action. He participated in a project to research the ability of many organisations to involve young people in its work. This tied in with his campaign to involve young people in politics (ABC).
“The event was eye opening and delegates saw a wide range of amazing work which touched on issues such as dementia, cancer care and mental disabilities. I was privileged to be involved and to share my experience. I’m looking forward to my new research as part of the People & Place project”.
