July: Work in Sheffield

Update on Harry’s Joint-Surgeries

Harry’s plans to work in the community this summer are progressing rapidly. He has now negotiated several dates for Joint-Surgeries with Sheffield’s MPs during July and August. These will be hour long sessions, where young people can turn up and question their MPs from Westminster as well as their UK Youth Parliament representatives from Sheffield. As part of greater partnership between UKYP and the city’s Youth Council – led by Harry and Youth Council Chair Luke Hague – Youth Councillors will also take part in delivering these surgeries.

27th July, 2pm – David Blunkett MP – Remington Road Youth Centre

28th July, 2pm – Angela Smith MP – Penistone and Stocksbridge Constituency Office

29th July, 2pm – Clive Betts MP – Crystal Peaks Library Arts Space

Meg Munn MP and Paul Blomfield MP are still arranging a time to hold their joint surgery, but these dates are planned to occur during August. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg MP has, at present, informed Harry that he will be unavailable.

Up to date information as it comes through, will be put out via twitter and the website.
