Harry Elected to Lead Debate at House of Commons

At today’s regional meeting of all MYPs from Yorkshire and Humberside, Harry was elected to the post of Debate Lead.

On November 4th the UK Youth Parliament will debate in the House of Commons. As a televised debate of this democratically elected organisation of Britain’s young people, it will be a chance for the things that are important to you, to be broadcast to the country.

As a Debate Lead, Harry will speak from the despatch box in the chamber and will be a key speaker as the MYPs debate the topics voted for by Young people.

With cuts affecting university fees, EMA and youth services all over Britain, the 2011 debate will be more significant than ever. Harry as your MYP will be leading this debate.
